Hey there, I’m a software engineer who cares about making a postive impact on people.

I’m a junior computer science student who has completed two swe internships, primarily at large companies. I’m actively looking for new opportunities.

I'm a developer who loves creating solutions that are both efficient and impactful. I'm strong in DSA, OOP, Databases, and do full-stack web development.

Hey, I'm Eli! I’m currently a junior studying computer science at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where I focus on Human-Centered Computing + Software Engineering & Data Systems. I love solving problems and building things that make an impact - whether it's a web app, a dynamic dashboard, or an optimized backend system. Through internships at U.S. Bank and Google, I've picked up experience in full-stack development, UI/UX, and database optimization, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship real-world solutions. My curiosity, dedication to learning, and passion for technology drive me to continually improve and make an impact in this dynamic field!

Pearson

Software Engineering Intern

Incoming Summer 2025.

U.S. Bank

Software Engineering Intern

During my internship at U.S. Bank, I built a full-stack user feedback app for the Database Automation Team’s new website using .NET Core and Blazor. This project really improved how we collected user feedback and made the whole process smoother. I also designed a dynamic KPI Dashboard for the team’s homepage, which provided real-time insights into various metrics. With tools like Blazor and SQL, I created interactive filters that helped us make better decisions based on comprehensive data visualization. On top of that, I focused on optimizing database queries and enhancing the UI/UX of our internal tools, which boosted performance and user satisfaction. I made sure to follow best practices for debugging and code reviews, maintaining code integrity through Visual Studio and GitLab.

Google

STEP Intern

During my internship at Google, I built a backend system in Java for a demo app linked to an internal reporting framework, collaborating with another intern to enhance data processing for a smoother user experience. I designed a scalable database schema that improved API data organization, streamlining backend processes and speeding up feature deployment. I also optimized API query logic and added unit tests to ensure data accuracy, making the app more reliable and user-friendly. I managed the entire software development lifecycle, from creating technical documentation to debugging, testing, and deployment, working closely with cross-functional teams and incorporating feedback from senior engineers to deliver a polished, production-ready application.

University of Minnesota

IT Infrastructure Specialist

I developed and deployed production-ready code to improve the university’s IT infrastructure, which helped minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly across various platforms. I also led code reviews and managed pull requests in enterprise-level GitHub repositories, working in Agile teams to deliver top-notch solutions. Plus, I used tools like Puppet, vSphere, and Linux to automate the monitoring and management of both physical and virtual machines, boosting efficiency and system reliability.

Google Computer Science Summer Institute

Participant

I took part in a competitive 4-week summer program in computer science for high-achieving students, where I learned from Google engineers through a hands-on HTML/CSS and JavaScript curriculum. I built 12 individual coding projects using JavaScript fundamentals like variables, data types, and functions. Additionally, I attended workshops on product design, resume development, and software engineering interviews. For the final project, my team and I presented our work, including a live demo, to Google employees and community leaders.

With a passion for problem-solving and crafting innovative software solutions, I’ve gained valuable experience working on a range of impactful projects across various industries. I love working on software that's user-centric, helps people, and is accessible to everyone. Beyond coding, I really enjoy getting outside and exploring new places. The photo below is me in front of a huge camphor tree in Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, Japan! My dad and I traveled to Tokyo last spring, and we loved every second of it - especially how beautiful it was there and how you can find things to do/people to meet/places to see for any interest you could possibly have. For me, that meant finding retro video game consoles like the SNES/Super Famicom! That brings me to another passion of mine: vintage tech - from old computers to gaming systems. My favorite piece in my collection? A Blueberry, Apple iMac G3 with it's matching keyboard. Such an iconic design in tech that almost anyone can recognize! And of course, playing Super Mario World on an original SNES is super sick too. But I digress. Feel free to reach out for internship/project opportunities - or just to talk about shared interests. Thank you for visiting my website and reading this far!
